thing is, the usb port is EOL due to sitting with laptop with its weight on the
protrubing USB, and hitting it few times when getting up. USB sticks are just
not useful for long term use. Im looking for ways to get booting from sdhc
Going off topic hoping someone can point me to solutions. Can a vendor OEM AMI
BIOS be replaced/flashed with a bios directly from AMI web site?

Hi,

That's sad news.

The BootFromSD tutorial sounds pretty cool. However, Tails is designed
in a way where users would not need to mess with something like this. I
did not look in detail if it is possible. You could try, but we can't
help you with that. If you manage to do it, please report back :)
Otherwise, what about simply finding one of these very small USB sticks?
Cheers!
