Are you connecting wirelessly or with a wired connection? are you making sure you have a network connection BEFORE you open your browser? You can connect to wireless by clicking the icon on the very upper right hand part of the screen.

Hi, have been trying to use Tails from a USB, it boots fine but when
trying to connect, it tells me the browser refuses for lack of a proxy,
or words to that effect and Tor does not start Would appreciate your help.
