Hi, Dots John: > yes, but 32 bit uefi in low budget netbooks with 64 bit processors are > booming business ... > > Can we get an official statement from tails in the foreseeable future if 32 > bit uefi + 64 bit processor support will remain in tails3 and after? Or is 32 > bit uefi also dropped?
There is such a statement already: https://tails.boum.org/news/Tails_3.0_will_require_a_64-bit_processor However, as I said, I was not aware that there are actually computers out there having UEFI in 32bit and a 64bit processor. Apparently this is problematic for all kinds of Linuxes and even some Windows installations are simply 32bit because of that. I'll post the question on our bugtracker for further details. It might be useful if you can tell us the brand name and model of the conmputer where this is the setup. Cheers! u. _______________________________________________ tails-support mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.boum.org/listinfo/tails-support To unsubscribe from this list, send an empty email to [email protected].
