There are multiple such directions. Can you please point us to the
exact web page you've followed, and at which exact step it's failing?
In other words, is this an "intermediary Tails" or one created with
Tails Installer?

This is expected if this is the "intermediary Tails" (which does not
support EFI boot), as opposed to one created with Tails Installer.
