Thanks Matt I'm based in the eastern suburbs of Sydney - well mapped and have cleaned up and added in an ad hoc manner. I guess I just need to get used to JOSM's validator and get cleaning up the bits I've got GPS traces for.
At the moment I am not Garmin equipped. Handed back my Logic Gear when I left work and am left with a SIRF III Keomo I bought in Germany. -- Paul Zagoridis email: [email protected] blog: http://wealthesteem.org Wealth is created between your ears personal blog: http://zagz.com mobile: +61 414 707 343 skype: paul.zagoridis -- Join me on your network of choice LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/in/paulzag Xing: http://www.xing.com/go/invite/3306344.2a5ab0 Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/people/Paul_Zagoridis/815205625 ecademy: http://www.ecademy.com/user/paulzagoridis -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Matt White Sent: Thursday, 11 December 2008 9:38 PM Cc: 'OSM Australian Talk List' Subject: Re: [talk-au] Beginner advice [was Re: Geelong problems] Paul Zagoridis wrote: > Sorry for top-posting I'm getting my head around outlook and it sucks. > > So I've read the beginner page of the wiki, use JOSM, upload GPS traces, but > I can't get my head around how best to help. If you're Garmin equipped, grab one of the Garmin maps and try and drive where there are no roads on the GPS :-) If you're Melbourne or surrounds based, then the western suburbs need some serious loving, along with Box Hill, Doncaster, Heidelberg and Warrandyte. If you're rural, then there will be heaps to do (unless you live in Taralgon and Neil has beaten you to it).
