On a similar type problem to the never-ending recalculating one...

I was driving south on Commonwealth Avenue (ACT) and the route called for me
to proceed along Capital circle.
However, I veered left onto a closeish concentric circle (State circle).

The display soon showed my position correctly on State Circle but the
highlighted route stayed on Capital Circle
and the unit did not recalculate at all. This stayed like this till
eventually one road passed over the top of the other
and finally the Garmin unit realised that I was not where it thought I was.

It appears that if you are within about 100 metres of where the routing
program wants you to be, then it assumes
that you are on the correct road.
