Hi,

I'm new here to OSM.

My first attempt at contributing has so far extended to a successful
track mapping with an Ubuntu powered netbook with GPS dongle sporting
Navit, TangoGPS, xgps and JOSM - and exporting TangoGPS tracks to .gpx
files. I would like to upload two fire trails down near Turlinjah on
the NSW coast.

JOSM however is stalling woefully on my humble 2GB Atom powered Ubuntu
netbook. Has anyone had any success with JOSM on such a platform?

It seems I can run JOSM and upload POI's and new tracks live to OSM if I
can get it working?

Is this the appropriate discussion forum or should I find an online
forum somewhere?

Cheers,

Cosmic
