Nope, I just read their presentations and website thoroughly and inferred their business model would support a single flyover as a hook to get commercial and government licenses which would pay for regular updates. Speaking of licenses, you should probably have a read of the commercial ones - it's not clear to me if Big Tin Can Maps qualifies for the free one, although IANAL.
