I have a few questions following my recent holidays - drive from
Bathurst to Melbourne and back with a few side tracks including Mount
Bogong (a long walk up), and to the previously unmapped Flinders
Island (I'm working on this first - http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=-40&lon=148&zoom=10
).
1. What's the best tag for a cabin park? (cabins only, no caravan
sites) - it can't be tourism=caravan_site (implies caravans, difficult
to drive a caravan to Flinders Island), tourism=camp_site implies
tents. Any ideas?
2. Tag for rubbish dump - According to the wiki,
amenity=waste_disposal is for large bins, but not for the actual dump.
Any better ideas?
3. For a hotel with accommodation, pub, and a bistro/restaurant,
what's the best tag - tourism=hotel or amenity=pub, also should the
restaurant have a separate tag or is there a shortcut e.g. food=yes
that I can use on the same node?
4. I am planning to change the reference numbers on some highways onto
relations as per the Australian Tagging page. In Victoria, M31 (and a
couple of others) are in National Highway shields. I am planning on
using ref=M31 network=NH - is this correct?
