10 COLOURS 10.1 Non-reflective colours The colours of unreflectorized road signs shall closely approximate the following colours defined in AS 2700: Red — Colour R13 Signal Red Yellow — Colour Y15 Sunflower Brown — Colour X65 Dark Brown Blue — Colour B23 Bright Blue Standard Green — Colour G12 Holly Green Green — Colour G13 Emerald NOTE: Individual reference cards for the above AS 2700 colours are available from Standards Australia. 10.2 Retroreflective colours Retroreflective colours shall be as defined and shall fall within the relevant colour space specified in AS/NZS 1906.1. 10.3 Fluorescent colours Fluorescent colours for traffic signs shall conform to the commonly accepted colour designations red, orange or yellow. NOTE: No colour specification for fluorescent traffic sign materials existed at the time of publication of this Standard. 10.4 Backs of signs The backs of signs shall be of neutral appearance.
