You mean triangulation? My GPS (garmin oregon 550) comes so close to supporting this natively with its built in compass, but falls short. It has a mode which lets you point at an object, then estimate a distance, then it projects a waypoint. All it needs is the ability to point at the same object from two different locations, then triangulate.
