Hi Chris,
I believe that James began importing the following. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Data.australia.gov.au/Queensland Queensland Wetlands Mapping - Estates Layer including National Parks, Conservation Areas & Forest Reserves Original dataset home page: http://data.australia.gov.au/127 - James Livingston is importing these from July 2010 Not sure how much he has done and which data set is most current. You may want to check with him. I personally find imports of the National Parks, protected areas, etc of great value. Here is a link to a import I did http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Data.australia.gov.au/South_Australia/Nat ional_Parks Regards, Markus_g _____ From: Chris Barham [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, 12 March 2011 3:12 PM To: talk-au; [email protected] Subject: [talk-au] Queensland, Australia: Protected areas (National Parks) - potential import dataset Hi, I couldn't find any discussion of this dataset and it's suitability for import - it's the protected areas of Qld (National Parks, State Forests etc). I've had a look and wondered what people thought about moving it forward somehow?. I put this page together on the wiki with the info found so far to support this potential source: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Australia/Queensland/The_Department_of_En vironment_and_Resource_Management/Protected_Areas_Import What's the general consensus? Cheers, Chris
