Hi all, Was just watching Catalyst on ABC1 tonight and was pleasantly surprised to see OSM being used to show where many earth quakes in New Zealand have been. It should pop up here on the vodcast list sometime soon, in case you missed it: http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/vodcast/default.htm
The screenshots are of Lyttelton and Christchurch in New Zealand. Lyttelton: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=-43.6098&lon=172.7309&zoom=14&layers=M Christchurch: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=-43.541&lon=172.6706&zoom=13&layers=M It appears they're using http://www.geonet.org.nz/ which seems to use google maps now. I'm not sure if geonet has changed since this slot was filmed, or if the internal / external site looks different. But in the catalyst episode it's openstreetmap with open layers allright. Screenshots can be found here: http://rhubarb.us.to/osm_catalyst_2012_05_24/ Aside, I'll be heading up to south-west sydney soon for a short period, and when time permits I'll be cleaning it up a bit, as well as removing and re-tracing non compliant data :) Cheers, Cam. -- [email protected] -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Or how I learned to stop worrying and love email again _______________________________________________ Talk-au mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-au
