That's right it only shows up where the imagery covers, it's not a mosaic. See the index at https://gist.github.com/andrewharvey/57da8ad7f9f425d4c811e6cd33b2fdcb#file-index-geojson click on the polygons and it shows the ID which you can use to find the right URL. I'm still working on making this easier.
