There are fences for long distances in/on (depending on water level) Lake George (near Canberra).

There are also fences across water ways.

They are all stock control so barrier=fence is the correct tag there.

Just chose the most appropriate tag.

    The "snag hotel" is better known as a fish crib. The second thing
    is a
    revetment.


    There is a seamark:obstruction:category=crib with a grand total of 7
    uses and man_made=revetment with 37.
