Hi Graeme

Appears to have worked okay. Doesn't seem to have any GPS positional errors that were reported with that dashcam model 1-2 years ago. The image seems a bit fuzzy though.

I guess keep in mind that the upload is in the region of 540MBytes for every 3 minutes.

Cheers Bob

I'd be happy to upload imagery if there was anywhere you could just send dashcam footage to, but I don't think there is?

(especially when I'm just about to start collecting a /lllooottt/ of it - ~25000k worth!)

Thanks

Graeme

Cheers Bob! Do you record street-level imagery to KartaView
    (formerly OpenStreetCam)?

It's a great place for this kind of imagery. We've even had
machine vision projects previously detect signs and traffic lights
    automatically etc.

            An only if interested thing..

I tend to shy away from mapping larger town
            retail/commercial/industrial objects, usually just doing
the roads.. I did however capture some imagery for Leeton
NSW a few days ago. It seems to be sadly lacking OSM
coverage. I'll probably never get around to it. Note these
            images are already on Mapillary.

If anyone would like to download the imagery from Google
drive for local entry please feel free. I personally
scroll through the images (in time stamped order) and have
a macro like button that grabs the lat/lon from the EXIF
that can then be pasted into the Id editor search box.
Each image also has a travel direction annotation, so it's
easy to correlate with the overhead imagery.

20260206BV-40kph-LeetonX are just the dashcam ahead view,
so not very detailed with shop etc signs. Handy to
correlate with the side views though. 20260206WZ-LeetonX
are a mixture of 90 degree left and 135 degree left (at
different rates) ones. There is a lot of overlap with some
shops getting 4 or more images. Gets around the angle
            parking and opaque pedestrians!

            These are uncompressed zip files.

Please advise if you use this imagery, so we don't
duplicate. I'll leave it on Gdrive for about a week.

            Tnx
