Hello Daan, first of all, Welcome & thanks for your first contribution.
I've taken a quick look at it. It's OK in that sense that you will find many bicycle paths that are mapped in this way, i.e. highway=path, foot=yes, bicycle=yes. If there is a traffic sign that explicitly allows bicycles, it might be better to use highway=cycleway. As for the name. I would never use Fietspad Dijle-Nekkerspoel, unless there is a sign along the path with that name. You can compare it with the E19, which might be called "the highway from Antwerp to Brussels; but you will never see that on a map. You can also add "lit=yes/no", which I find interesting on cycleways, since not all of them are lit. I'm not going to comment on the Vrouwvliet issue, as I'm not so familiar with all the waterway tags and the conventions. Hopefully somebody else will answer that one. happy mapping regards m On Tue, Jun 11, 2013 at 3:13 PM, Daan Bellefroid <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > I'm a new mapper and added yesterday a new path based on GPS data I > collected driving the path with my bike. > > I just would like that someone takes a look if I did it right? > It is the path in Mechelen-Noord, parallel to the R6, going from the Dijle > to the Vrouwvliet (Slachthuislaan). > I called the path "Fietspad Dijle-Nekkerspoel" because there are arrows > stating "Nekkerspoel" to the one direction and "Dijle" to the other. > > Did I put it there correctly?
