Hi Pierre, I saw a influx of new mappers (via the welcome page) around Arlon following your formation i suppose, and i detected a few mistakes that were common : - uploading polygons without tags (i suppose the JOSM validator was either not activated or just ignored on purpose ?!); - a few miss-click with node without tags or node/lines moved from their original position (again most of them should be detected by the validator).
I don't know if you had time to do what you planned, but i would recommend insisting on the validator part ! Globally, the geometries are correct, the main problem is really just to not forget tagging them. ;-) I also saw that some of them added housenumber without any other tag on the buildings, don't forget to tell them that an address is at least "number, street (and postal_code if it doesn't exist in a polygon)". ^^ Regards, Le lun. 29 oct. 2018 à 20:10, Pierre Parmentier <[email protected]> a écrit : > As suggested by Joost Schouppe, I give you here more info about > > On Monday 23 October 2018, I delivered my first hours of evangelism on > OpenStreetMap. > > Regular visitors to the Espace public numérique (EPN) of Arlon as well as > people particularly interested in the subject, such as members of the > Association Les Sentiers de Grande Randonnée, were present. > > For three hours in the morning and again three hours in the afternoon, I > talked and showed screens about the 'use' of OpenStreetMap in everyday > life.
