Interesting link and probably a good checking reference. They don't state any licensing terms though.... > However, from actually cycling through those towns, .. You must have been through relatively recently (the Tim Horton's is a new addition - I prefer Stone's Throw Cafe ;-) The point I was trying to make is that the Alberta government have a classification for each of the communities, which can be seen in the census data. Most places are classified to be a city, town, village or hamlet depending on their current (or historical) size. However some areas like Crowsnest Pass are 'special'. From an adminstration point of view Crowsnest Pass is treated as a group, instead of being 5 seperate communities. I suppose I could just phone the MD and ask about the population for each.... > ... and to be 'Frank', Frank used to be a town but got barried under a > land slide, so out of respect for it, the area remains named as a town.. > even though it looks like a rest-stop. .... so what is your answer? Frank is 'alive and kicking', albeit displaced slightly west after the Frank Slide incident. In fact a couple of years ago we had a big power outage and I remember driving into a very dark Pass, the only light on was the Frank Liquor Store which was doing very good business.
