| From: Jason Reid <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | The bigger question is whether the routes are even mapped? From what I can | decipher from that page (which likely was borrowed from the wiki page for a | german city) the status is unknown for the transit related map data. I know | that for Calgary we've barely entered any routes yet, mostly just the LRT | line, and I suspect that the TTC stuff is at a similar state. (Anyone from | that area please correct me if I am wrong).
This message is interesting: http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2008-April/025604.html As I said, I'm a newbie. I wouldn't actually know how to find if routes are mapped. Naively, I would expect that the TTC should be willing to contribute mapping data to OSM: it could only be to their benefit. At last night's NewTLUG about OSM, two audience members were from a company that is building on OSM (I think) to provide transit information. I think that they are aiming to make available real-time bus arrival information. Details in my mind are fuzzy. Maybe they or Richard are reading this and can say more. _______________________________________________ Talk-ca mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca
