Jason, I looked up your script geobase2osm and noted several things. The README states that this "is not ready for production work yet" which is fine. But at the same time I also noticed that at no point have you given a license to the script, neither in the README nor within the script itself. Also, there is not a copyright statement anywhere, and you deserve the right to receive credit for your work, nor a way to contact you if someone does have some suggestions, or better yet code, for improving the script.
Would you be willing to add a license statement, preferably for an Open Source license, to your script? Doing so will allow others to be able to use, and modify if necessary, your script for their work in migrating the data from GeoBase to OSM. It may also encourage others to contribute to the script to help you develop it further and to get it ready for production use. Adding some way of contacting you, preferably within one of the comment statements within the script, would also be appreciated. Thank you, Richard Degelder _______________________________________________ Talk-ca mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca
