No worries.

I haven't yet uploaded new roads from GeoBase -- the roads currently in Port Stanley were surveyed by me by etrex gps.

I've been improving my scripts and am just about ready to to my first upload (the new streets from Geobase) just as soon as I figure out how to bulk upload.

My Geobase uploads will by by geobase_peterson, unlike my regular mercaartor work by jdp1120.

I'm using Steve Singers geobase2osm as my primary conversion, so attribution of new streets will be exactly like his.

I don't know what to do once I start adding geobase attributes to already existing streets with an existing source ...

I do know I don't want to carve them up into the tiny ways that map 1:1 with geobase -- while I might be willing to do that to ways I created, I'm not willing to do that to other folks work.  Probably I wind up with a list of uuids, and a secondary source attribution.

It should be up there by late tonight or tomorrow morning  :)

Not sure what zoom level it was. 

(I hate to criticize) However, attribution is important.  Perhaps you did, and i missed it? .. I just see reference as "created by: Merkaartor 0.12", 
for the data that is imported from NRN, "ref=Geobase 2009" needs to be listed (if nothing else).

If i'm not looking in the right place, I DO apologize.

Oh ya, i'm just checking the wiki page, (as Harry Wood was so kind to fix up the page a bit more).  
There has been a couple other methods that people have done, which are slightly different than what is listed.  Perhaps we can have it as 'method #1, 2, 3' or A, B, C?

Whatever works is great for everyone :)  ... we just need to still keep in mind about how to deal with updates. .. if the update file will look at the data as all OSM data, so not playing favorites and treating the data a equal?  (I think thats the preferred way)

and oh ya..  What about having a link to where we can see the imported data rendered?  would that help?

and a final thought..  my recommendation would be that for those who are importing data, to continue importing Adjacent NTS tiles, this way, we can avoid accidentally working on the same tiles.  AND can cover the larger area over time, as people get better and as the method gets better.
