I don't quite follow. It seems what i want is to be able to import the NHN data into OpenJUMP, so that i can run a compare. So i need a way to convert OSM to the same format SHP as i get from NRN. Is that not right? What would the data from geobaseNHN2osm give me? And as for what area of Winnipeg I am familiar with... I suppose the central area, which is where I live. Which also has some of the best maps, cause I made a lot of them over the summer on my bike, which was pretty fun. Still snowing and terrible weather here, though. > For the CanVec2osm script, i'm still going through all the features, > and trying to get them all matched up, and will also have a sample > ready soon. Lots of detail, if it's as good as what's advertised. Go ahead and hit me with a sample. And yes, I understand the desire to get the data working well before we import it. At this point i was just at the experimentation stage, to see if i could actually help with data importing and verification and stuff. I have a couple of friends involved in this too. One is just north of Winnipeg (stonewall) and another is in Burnaby. We are all pretty keen on OSM, and are looking to see how we can help and improve it.
