Hi all, I now have some .zip files available on the www.mediafire.com/osmcanadadata site (geobase-to-osm/01), and can make select areas available on request.
There may still be a few bugs in the conversion script, but not much. Part of Quebec, north of Ottawa, has been converted and copied months ago, by user:yan morin, and we havent heard complaints, so it must be good :-) The order for this conversion will be to make the files available, for 1st only areas that have geobase roads & canvec data eithor already copied in to OSM, or the data is available for a local volunteer to copy into OSM.
