Hi Frank, I see your working on the wiki, it CERTAINLY needs it :) The Canada Import is organized with 2 main federal sources. NRCan & GeoBase and 1 main provincial source - Land Information Ontario NRCan has geogratis & CanVec
geogratis has: National protected areas & Aborigional lands canvec is a collection of 90 features & 11 themes all in 1 dataset geobase has NHN, NRN, ground control points, wms images are separate datasets Land Information Ontario has 40 datasets each downloaded separatly.
