Hi all from here too. No thank you for me Sam. I'm admin-ing meetups in Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto and Columbus Ohio. Reminds me that I should schedule something. As a side note, all of the meetup.com tools that I am aware of work in a local area, like within 25 miles of a location. I don't believe that a single, catchall group will be effective. For example: a) you won't show up in search from other areas, b) you won't be cross-promoted to similar meetups outside your area, c) even members who do find you may lose interest if there is no local group. I suggest that this list, talk-ca is one ideal venue to advise Canadian mappers of upcoming events. The key to using meetup effectively, as far as I can tell, is to a) be local b) schedule events Happy New Year everybody, Richard _______________________________________________ Talk-ca mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca
