Hi, A quick note, While i was on walking papers today i say that a few days ago a group of people in Empress, Alberta http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=50.9566&lon=-110.0092&zoom=12&layers=B000FTF
Got together and printed off a map and filled it in. http://walking-papers.org/print.php?id=9dbkkghl Empress, Alberta is like many towns all over Canada, where there is lacking of a local tourist map, or if there is one, it might be hard to locate. I have personally seen some pritty 'creative' tourist maps... Some of which were just hand drawn to tell tourists where the local campground/motels are relative to the local store. ... Anyway, I just thought i'd let you know. My hopes is to get those 'features-only' garmin maps available, so it might save people 'some' work. But on the smaller local scale, this is really what the power of OpenStreetMap is about :-) Cheers, Sam Twitter: @Acrosscanada Blog: http://Acrosscanadatrails.blogspot.com Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/sam.vekemans Skype: samvekemans OpenStreetMap IRC: http://irc.openstreetmap.org @Acrosscanadatrails
