Hi all, So i got bored... i added a howto which is 'slightly better' than my wide-screen view of the process.
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Canada_NTS_Tile_System#How_To This helps so you know what tile you are working on and can see where the boundary of it is. Using the Toporama WMS layer also helps as you will need to use it to help with the coastline.
