Interesting. For those who haven't looked at the site, it is a bicycle route finding site. So, you can find the best route for a bicycle from point A to point B based on your choice of the most direct route or the safest route ... I tried my favorite torture test on the site, from my home (near the intersection of Yonge St. and Eglinton Ave.) to the intersection of Bloor St. West and Dundas Street West in Toronto. For anyone on this list not familiar with Toronto, this is an ambiguous route to plot because Bloor St. West and Dundas Street West intersect at two places in Toronto. As far as ridethecity.com is concerned only the western most Bloor St. West and Dundas Street West intersection exists... Not that long ago I looked at a public transit routing program (based on proprietary data) that made the opposite assumption... This sort of thing could cause interesting sorts of grief for people ... some years ago I worked for a firm out of an office near Bloor St. West and Dundas Street West....
