I've been trying to get to the canvec data for 3 days now using this URL: ftp://ftp2.cits.rncan.gc.ca/osm/pub
I was pretty sure that you could get into there with a browser and download the file of choice. I keep getting a webpage not available. If I ftp from the command prompt to ftp2.rncan.gc.ca, I get and ftp server that wants a user name and password, so it looks like the URL points to an ftp server. Perhaps just the web server front end is dead... Anyone else able to get canvec osm files?
