Like the idea of an OSM Hack Weekend, but can't fly across the Atlantic to attend one?
Problem Solved. OSM Hack Weekend DC. See below. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Serge Wroclawski <[email protected]> Date: Mon, Jan 9, 2012 at 7:10 PM Subject: [Talk-us] OSM Hack Weekend in Washington, DC To: [email protected] Based on the success, and incredible fun of the OSM Hacking Weekends in London, a bunch of OSMers in the US have decided to ruthlessly steal the idea and try running one ourselves. GeoIQ has generously donated their conference room in their office in downtown Arlington, Virginia. The dates: February 18th and 19th, 2012 The place: Arlington, VA (right outside Washington, DC) Please sign up at the Eventbrite page: http://osmhackweekenddc2012.eventbrite.com/ This is the first time that the [US] OSM developer community has made a conscious effort to come together and put on an event like this, and we want it to be a success, so whether you're a seasoned OSM developer or a noob who wants to see what he can help fix, come join us! And if you are a seasoned developer, consider running a 5-15 minute workshop. Previous topics have included git, Potlatch 2 development, and the Rails port. If there's something specific you want to work on, add it to the Wiki page at: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DC_Hack_weekend_Feb_2012 so we can coordinate our efforts. I expect to see everyone from the US developer community there! That means you! - Serge _______________________________________________ Talk-us mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-us _______________________________________________ Talk-ca mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-ca
