We could bug somebody. This sort of rendering problem appears on occasion. Asking about it on the #osm irc channel will usually encourage the admins to update the coastline files. There is a new effort to detect these potential errors so that they can be removed. Perhaps Paul can suggest how we can use his coastline checker?
