installing the validator plugin again did fix the problem. Thank you for your help.

I presume that you are using a current version of JOSM?
 
Next thing I'd do is exit JOSM
 
go to %APPDATA%/JOSM/plugins and
 
delete anything which looks validator related so validator.jar ,and /validator
and check nothing in "%APPDATA%/JOSM/ is validator related.
 
 
then restart JOSM and download the plugin again, the exit and restart JOSM.

Hello,

 

i installed the validator plugin for JOSM. The validator.jar-file is located in "%APPDATA%/JOSM/plugins".

At startup of JOSM i get the message "Could not load plugin validator. Delete from preferences?". Has anyone a clue what might be wrong?
