Is it maybe describing objects using the same name, but operating under different brands. Or maybe it is a generic name (like amenity=restaurant name=Restaurant) rather than a brand? Or maybe it is a valid name (like amenity=restaurant name=Bamboo), without an uniting brand?
I am asking as I want to improve https://github.com/osmlab/name-suggestion-index/ <https://github.com/osmlab/name-suggestion-index/> and I lack local knowledge how it should be tagged. Data from this project are used for example by iD and Vespucci. Users using this editors will be guided better during editing once current conflict between suggested tags will be fixed. In case that multiple tags can be correct depending on a situation it will be marked that both versions are OK. Sorry for using English.
