I think leisure=music_venue with some subtag indicating its open-air nature (openair=yes?) would be perfect. Music genre is unnecessary in my opinion as these venues are used for very different kinds of events. It seems that this leisure=music_venue has still status as a proposed feature which is not approved yet.
