At least I personally don't like automatically converted GPS traces [I've seen too many (in Estonia) having 100 nodes on a straight road, crippled ends or whatever] Clearing up the mess is the least one should do beforehand. Gpsbabel can do a lot with the right parameters. Unfortunately GPX doesn't store the accuracy information of the GPS receiver. :/ All in all, I'd just open the GPX files one after the other in JOSM and draw after it ... so far for me the problem has been more in tagging rather than in positioning. Did you take some notes? Just sticking together the GPX files should be simple ... but maybe not exactly what you want. Andre -- My dessert is on fire!
