Hi Russ, I don't know Nottingham myself, but you can see which roads are in the db and need naming using the red highlighting at http://dev.openstreetmap.org/~random/no-names/?zoom=13&lat=6973936.32734&lon=-131415.14164&layers=0B000 As a hunch, it looks like the outskirts are also missing, especially to the northeast where villages have been marked but without corresponding roads being shown. But like I say, I don't know the area.
