Never spoken to Matthewman but I do talk to people who work for him.  They
have *got it* and are working to release raw data.  I would imagine there's
a lot of data stored as "BS3141592654" which would be pretty unintelligible
in raw or user readable verions.

Aye, that issue of derived data never goes away does it?  Although I heard
that the OS are going to make some kind of announcement on April 22nd.  Not
sure of the content, but some kind of response to the Power of Information
Taskforce and Trading Fund shennanigans...  Horse, door, bolted etc.

As I keep on reminding myself, have a bit of patience.  The philosophy of
opendata in government didn't even exist a few years ago, there is a lot of
cultural change that needs to happen but people are working on it behind the
scenes.  Its not very rewarding to fight against years of entrenched public
sector dogma.
