That's not true, you can see a list of the nodes, ways and relations that have changed, and view the history for each one. So the facility is there, it's just primitive and you have to manually work through the results in Potlatch to revert. It would be great as you say if you could get more of a side-by-side comparison, with a table of the new and last versions clearly showing changes made, and perhaps a link into the Potlatch editor to revert.
