Am I right that the Highways Agency is the definitive source of whether a road is a trunk road? ie, if it is on this map[1] then it is a trunk road and should be green, if it is not on this list then it should not be green?
I notice that the A12 north of Ipswich is current shown as a trunk road, but is not on their map as one so should possibly be 'primary' (incidentally it is also a much lower grade road than south of Ipswich) . Google (ie TeleAtlas) shows it as green, as they do various other roads (A140,A143) that are not trunk roads according to the HA.
