I haven't had chance to write my own response yet but am hoping to do so this week.
It mostly looks promising and I'm delighted to see the suggested vector releases. However IMO OS _shouldn't_ release 1:25k and 1:50k colour rasters - better known as Explorer and Landranger respectively.
