This week, I made a new proposal for amenity=boat_rental http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Boat_Rental
car_rental and bicycle_rental existing, but boat_rental is still missing. And in holiday destinations you find often boat_rentals. And I think, this should be tagged in OSM, too. For tourists its not bad, if they can find the boat_rentals in the maps. For additional ideas, adjustments or comments, please use the discussion in the wiki-entry.
