blue-red is the standard for cold-hot display, though it's being displaced by red/amber/green in most management reporting.
I might add green for those who've got to the blissful state of 100% I hope you update the algorithm to recognize all highway tags soon. Oxford's never going to get above 99.87% until you do. I think you might also consider a path density map or a shop/pub:street density map. That's the sort of stuff where OSM can really do much better than OS / Google.
