I suspect that it's unavoidable that if a prominent member of a group or
organisations says or does something, that people think that it's at the
very least condoned by that organisation. That might be somewhat
unfair, but it is human nature. If you think that the position of
OpenStreetMap UK has been unfairly represented, then I'd suggest that
you, as a director of OpenStreetMap UK, put the record straight. As I
understand it much of the discussion about what the organisation should
do has been in "non-traditional" OSM forums* (for entirely valid reasons
that have previously been discussed) so there is a lack of knowledge of
what the organisation is about**.
