Anyone know any good ways to reach out to mappers active in an area?
I've used the messaging service and I've used 'comment on changeset' of
course. I do wonder though if they are using mobile apps whether that
these messages ever reach them?
Sometimes I want to just have a chat, and not specifically about a
previous piece of mapping. I want to let them know I am active or
intend to be, nearby. If I have data for an area, or am planning a
visit, I'd consider it rude to start where an active mapper has recently
done work without letting them know. Especially away from big towns
where I appreciate it that there are many hands at work. As I do all my
mapping on site/sight, I would want to be courteous!
