Firstly, thanks to DaveCor, and contributors, to this page
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Ireland/Mapping_Townlands + videos.
What an incredible resource to have!
I've made a start on Clare (around areas I kind of know). Three quick
questions that I can't find the answers to yet:
1) Having mapped over 35 control points, in Map Warper, and using the
Warp button, it all looks OK. Is that image then rectified/updated in
real-time (i.e. I should see it within seconds in JOSM when turning on
the Ir/Br War Office layer), or do I need to do something to trigger it
being published? It looks fine in both, but I've only done very minor
edits / add new CPs, so I can't tell the difference!
2) In MapCraft, I've changed the status for the tile I'm working on to
8/0 (because I've more than 30 CPs). Am I responsible for changing to
9/9 (avail. on Ir Tile Server), or do I need to do something / notify
someone that I think it's good to go?
3) Where's best to put a link that might be helpful to others interested
in mapping CE townlands (there are others, right?!).. would that be in
the aforementioned Wiki page, or somewhere else? It's only one link (a
CE Co. Co. map of townlands, approximate locations which can make it
easier to find those blurred dotted lines!).
