I think this is a great idea. The only comments I personally would have are to maybe spread their efforts around Munster a bit, that many people in one county would possibly see editing conflicts due to the size of townland areas. Also, so long as they follow the same steps I don't see any issues, e.g. if they are going to be using something like ArcGIS to do editing then there will likely be gaps in terms of consistency etc.
