Hi, I agree. No use discussing pros and cons, we need to deal with realities.
Would the first step be to get OSM to add a suitable fields on the various editors (apologies, I'm only familiar with iD) iD currently automatically provides fields for: * Address * Housename * Number * Street * City In the UK, it provides an extra postcode field. It would be useful if fields for post code and county could be added. If the system could be pre-populated with city and county (but needing confirmation), it would be good.
