This could be caused by a number of reasons: - your browser was caching the old map tiles (a tile is a small jpeg file) - the things you mapped are not rendered on the standard map style - you made some tagging mistake. Please let us know what and where you mapped features, so we can help you understand what was going on. There is no approval process, so everything you change goes straight to the database and from there to the map. Though, every map maker can filter out features that are not interesting to them.
