The problem with CPs is that Country boundaries were revised twice in the
19th Century.

 

1.       Between 1830 and 1840 counties had exclaves that were removed over
the course of the original OS Mapping (EG Ballymore Eustace was in Co.
Dublin once) and thereby leaving fragments of baronies and cps stranded in
‘other’ counties 

2.       A lot of exclave CPs and Baronies  were created when the
Urban/Rural Electoral Divisions were created in 1898.

 

There is no evidence that 2 CPs or 2 Baronies were formally created ( part
in one county and part in another in every case)  in this reordering
process. They were ignored more like.
